Di cosa è composto un guardaroba moderno? Le passerelle di moda spesso diventano armadi pieni di t-shirt, ma non nel mondo di GCDS, dove tutto esiste in armonia. Tutto nasce da qualcosa, e i fiori ostinati che sbocciano tra le mura della città, i fiori del cemento, racchiudono la dualità dell’esistenza contemporanea.
Nel mondo di GCDS, è innegabile che il potere della cultura pop sia in mano alle ragazze. La nuova generazione di pop stars e icone moderne cambia continuamente e si reinventa creando la colonna sonora del mondo che ci circonda. Questo senso di resilienza, il rimanere un passo avanti alle critiche riguardo a ciò che scelgono di indossare e di essere, offre un’ispirazione infinita per Giuliano Calza.
La collezione Primavera Estate 2025 riconosce l’energia femminile e come essa accenda il cambiamento culturale. Ha il potere di trasformarsi, come un fiore che ha trovato casa nella città, con radici apparentemente fragili che crescono attra- verso il duro cemento ma che hanno abbastanza forza per fiorire. Questa collezione ci unisce per ballare, per festeggiare, per muovere le braccia all’unisono come un campo di fiori nella brezza. La creazione, piuttosto che la distruzione, è l’ener- gia che ci muove. E se quella creazione derivasse da un po’ di distruzione? Forse sarebbe una cosa positiva. Quello che ci ispira, in parte, di queste donne è proprio la loro tenacia e determinazione.
In molti casi, lo styling è stato il primo passo del processo di design, dove t-shirt e collant sono stati decostruiti per creare nuovi abiti che incarnano lo spirito creativo del nuovo millennio. Altri pezzi sono lasciati nelle mani delle abili sarte del Made in Italy, come le gonne a tulipano in duchesse. I look sono presentati come se fosse già la fine della festa, con le luci che si accendono nel club per rivelare il deshabillé di una notte ormai vissuta.
La bellezza ha bisogno del contrasto del grottesco, la palette è ritmata da colori neon rave e colori accesi stile Crayola.
I tuxedo elegantemente tagliati in twill di seta presentano una nuova stampa botanica, che firma la collezione. Si passa diret- tamente dall’ufficio al club con i blazer e le gonne a tubino, abbinate alle parigine e alla Call Me Comma bag, presentata nella sua nuova versione in un raffinato acetato tartarugato. Gli accessori rivestono un’importanza fondamentale nell’espressione, questa stagione offre una vasta scelta di pezzi carichi di personalità: la borsa Comma ritorna, sia Mega che Mini, con detta- gli colorati e con dadi logo; le slingback con tacco logato si presentano in cavallino fluo, o con ricchi ricami floreali.

What makes up a modern wardrobe? Runways full of fantasy fashion turn into closets full of tees, but in the GCDS world they want to exist in harmony. Everything grows from somewhere, and the persistent blooms that break through city blocks, the Flowers of the Concrete, encompass the duality of today’s existence.
In the GCDS world, the fact that young women sway the needle of pop culture is undeniable.The new generation of rising pop divas and notorious it-girls are constantly reinventing themselves as they provide the soundtrack for the world around us. That sense of resilience, staying a step ahead of the haters for what they chose to wear, or not to wear, provides unen- ding inspiration for Giuliano Calza.
The Spring 2025 collection recognizes feminine energy and how it ignites cultural change. It has the power to transform, like a flower that’s made a home in the city, seemingly soft roots growing through hard concrete with enough strength to support a blossom. It can bring us together to dance, to rave, to wave our arms en masse like a field of wildflowers in the breeze.
Creation, rather than the destruction so rampant at the hands of increasingly conservative forces, is the energy that drives us forward. And if that creation comes from a little destruction? Maybe it’s a good thing. Part of what is so inspiring about these women is their predilection to take matters into their own hands.
In many cases, styling came first as part of the design process, where tees and tights were sacrificed to make new pieces that embody the creative spirit of the millennium. Other pieces are better left in the skilled hands of the Made in Italy facto- ries, like flirty tulip skirts in heavy raw-edged satin. They’re presented like it’s already the end of the party, the lights coming up in the club to reveal the deshabille of undone separates and scanty deep-V tops, sheer tights ravaged from the best night out with your besties.
Beauty needs the foil of the grotesque, so the palette is punctuated with rave-ready neons and Crayola bolds. Beautifully cut blouses in silk twill come in a new signature botanical scarf print. Office-to-club vibes are embodied via blazers and pencil skirts, paired with knee highs and an updated Call Me Comma bag in professional, polished tortoise acetate.
Accessories have a place of special importance in expression, and this season offers fans plenty of personality-laden pieces.
The Comma bag is back in Mega and Mini sizes, accessories with colorful dangling logo dice closures. Kitten heels run in every shade of monster fur, or rich embroidered florals.
